1st Barefoot Centennial Ultramarathon
NEGROS ORIENTAL 100
First of all We would like to thank the people behind the Negros Oriental 100, for organizing this centennial event and for the great warm welcome to us cebuanos.
Second, I would to congratulate MY ADR FAMILY for conquering the dreaded 102km journey. Through the dark, sharp, cold and mind melting heat we all able to survive within our faith and belief with each others strength, all are prayers are heard that we can all finish safely and strong. My snappiest salute to all of you guys, we did all our best even at times we are about to give up, we should always cope up with our dreams and the things we want to achieve. Things will never go easy specially in a centennial, like seriously? you can never underestimate the distance. You may laugh at it, but it can laugh harder at you. Give some respect to it and enjoy the journey and all will be well.
Third, Thank you so much to the God Almighty for giving me the strength I need to conquer the whole route from start to finish on barefoot. That was really freakin faith-breaking idiot idea but it seems my faith is bigger than my fears, I always have trust in myself and so as should everybody out there, we all need it. At KM70 its like I cant almost run, my both feet hurts much and I felt so tired that I like to sleep all day. The breeze of dawn almost gave me Hypothermia, I shiver like I came from the freezer. hahaha but still I manage to move on. I did set myself that must conquer everything the cold, heat and the sharp freakin road, and so I did. A big thank to God to my ADR FAMILY!
Lastly, THANK YOU to the God above for guiding us,protecting us, and giving us the strength to move on at all times. To our ADR FAMILY left here in cebu for their prayers to all of us, salamat kaayo ninyong tanan! We all brought home the bacon, cheese, burger, spaghetti og tanang malamian. hahaha
I dedicate this centennial ultramarathon for all of my pains, my prayers and all of the people that I pray everyday special My ever supportive MOTHER. para imo jud ni specially MA :) <3
